In co-operation with Xerox, we provide nearly 600 copiers and multifunction devices to our customers at the University of Helsinki and other facilities. Today, most of the devices are able to perform many tasks besides copying—they can be used to print, scan and fax, as well.

The new contract starting from 1.10.2007 amended the services in printing at the university. From 1.1.2008 onwards all of the netprinting at the university became part of the Helsinki University Print services. The reform was started with a survey examining the printing and copiyng environment of each department. According to these surveys and in collaboration with the departments, the new devices were installed by the end of the year 2008. The services in printing were integrated to the Service Desk of the IT- department at the university. For more information on the reform, go to the webpage of the Unigrafia in Alma intranet service. The use of the devices is paid for with a Magna Card, the price of which includes full service: device rental, copying/printing, white paper, maintenance, toner, staples, training and installation. Alternatively, usage may be billed by the amount of copies taken in three-month periods.
